Hi there, after much trial and error as the medical profession couldn't help much I've discovered the following:
1. soft drinks in particular CC and lemon drinks give me calf cramps
2. preservative 282 gives me wind under the diaphragm making it difficult for me to obtain a full breath (not athsma) just a very unpleasant feeling of not being able to obtain enough air into my lungs; this preservative is in many bread and pastry products
3. the low 200 to 220 range of preservatives give me heart palpatations.
4. Both my mother and sister seem to become very breathless (athsma like symptoms) from preservative 211.
It's difficult to manage these symptoms, especially avoiding 282 as it's in so many products. I just hope this post may assist someone else. BTW, I'm not actually allergic to any other foods, just the rubbish that's added to them.

It is so important to know whether you are suffering from a food allergy or an intolerance because of the potential health conseqences (which differ for allergies and intolerances) and also so you can find ways of managing and, in the case of food intolerances, healing your conditon. Food intolerances, unlike allergies, are not permanent. They underlie many chronic health conditions and be eliminating your problem foods you can dramatically improve your health.

What a great explanation of the difference between the two! As the mom of a food allergic son who also has intolerances to many man-made food substances (MSG, additives, colorings etc) we have seen his skin pay the price with severe eczema when he eats these things. We avoid all of his actual allergens but now that he has been taking Belly Boost children's chewable probiotics, his eczema has been mostly gone for over a year now! We are so happy to have found something that has helped him so much and now he can process and digest so many more of the foods that he once could not handle! Great info :)
